DE Alton Robinson Will Have 2 sacks
The rookie 5th rounder out of Syracuse made his debut for the Seattle Seahawks in last weeks victory over the Dallas Cowboys. All throughout training camp, the Seattle Seahawks were raving about this young man and couldn’t wait to see him take the field.
Due to injuries to DE Bruce Irvin and Rasheem Green, Alton Robinson saw a lot of playing time in last week’s game. Granted, he has been dealing with injuries himself, it was nice to see him finally take the field and have an impact in this game.
The Seahawks run defense was phenomenal as Zeke had 14 carries for 34 yards. Robinson played a crucial part in that along with superstar LB Bobby Wagner and his running mate, LB K.J. Wright. But, Robinson was also a disruptor in the backfield in the passing game.
As the Cowboys trailed 38-31 and were marching down the field in an attempt to tie the game, Robinson had one of the plays of the game. He bulldozed his way into the backfield, threw the offensive linemen off him, sacked Dak causing the Cowboys to use their final timeout of the game. On the ensuing play, Robinson once again wrecked havoc in the backfield, allowing DE Benson Mayowa to force Dak into a bad throw, which resulted in an interception that sealed the game.
Robinson is going to be a playmaker for this team and on this defensive line. I see him having another big game in Miami racking up 2 sacks and having at least 2 quarterback hits.
