4 candidates to replace Bill O’Brien as Houston Texans head coach

4. Eric Bieniemy

Bieniemy is the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator, and the success he’s had in that role makes him a slam-dunk to be a head coach somewhere next year. He obviously has experience working with a great quarterback in Patrick Mahomes, and maybe he can unlock Deshaun Watson with a more creative offensive scheme.

Bieniemy will have head coaching options after the season, but some of them don’t look that great (New York Jets). Houston may have the best win-now situation, with Watson as a good start if Bieniemy is willing to work with him.
