Packers Remain Best Team

It wasn’t a favorable offseason for the Green Bay Packers when viewing it from the perspective of bettering their chances of winning the NFC North in 2020. Despite all of that, the Packers should win their division again.

There is no longer a requirement for Aaron Rodgers to carry the Packers’ offense by slinging the ball around at a high-volume. Green Bay managed to total 1,795 rushing yards (15th) and 18 rushing touchdowns (T-7th), which is unlikely to change much.

As for the defense, the Packers achieved impactful results overall last season giving up 19.6 points per game (T-9th). However, there was a clear struggle with being able to stop the run, particularly during interior running situations and that will likely continue.

There is a realistic chance the Packers take a step backward in 2020 but they should still do enough to win the NFC North, nevertheless. The rest of the division still has work to do in order to move ahead of Green Bay as the favorites.
