1. Browns’ Offense Shows Intriguing Potential
It’s safe to say that anytime an offense manages to put up 49 points, it was a good day for them. The Browns put together that kind of performance in a needed way— showing impressive potential as a unit.
The Browns didn’t need a massive outing from Baker Mayfield and that’s the most sustainable approach for them. He completed 19-of-30 (63.3%) pass attempts for 165 yards and two touchdowns.
The running game from the Browns was highly productive and that’s where they did most of their damage— producing totals of 40 carries, 307 yards, and three touchdowns. Keep in mind, this occurred even with Nick Chubb leaving the game early due to injury.
Overall, the Browns surpassed 500 total yards of offense and went 4-of-5 (80.0%) in the red-zone while never committing a single turnover. That level of production is going to win just about any game. However, can Cleveland build on this outing in Week 5 against the Colts?
