3. Odell Beckham Jr. Showed Needed Flashes
During the time Odell Beckham Jr. has spent with the Browns, it feels like he’s rarely had a dominant performance. He managed to have one of those types of outings against the Cowboys.
Overall, Beckham Jr. took control of this game by hauling in five catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, he rushed twice and gained 73 yards and one touchdown to go with his impressive receiving numbers.
The Browns got creative with how they got the ball to Beckham Jr. and it paid off in a major way. Perhaps there was no greater example than Cleveland giving him the ball in the backfield during a crucial late-game drive— resulting in a 50-yard rushing score.
In addition to the long carry Beckham Jr. recorded, the Browns ran a trick play where Jarvis Landry connected with him on a 37-yard touchdown strike. It’s important for Cleveland to continue to use that type of creativity to overshadow Baker Mayfield’s underwhelming play.
