4 major takeaways from the Browns vs. Cowboys matchup in Week 4

The Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys faced off during Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season. It was the Browns that managed to come out on top— winning with 49-38 being the final score at “Jerry World.”

After the Browns used a Jarvis Landry touchdown throw to Odell Beckham Jr. to get on the scoreboard first, the Cowboys answered back with a pair of touchdown throws of their own. Dallas held a 14-7 lead by the time the clock expired in the first quarter.

It was a rapidly different story for both teams in the second period. The Browns managed to hang 24 unanswered points on the Cowboys during this frame— setting up an impressive 31-14 lead at halftime. It was more of the same in the third quarter as Cleveland put up another 10 unanswered points.

There was an admirable comeback effort from the Cowboys in the final quarter. They scored 24 points and came close to rallying back at the end. However, the defense allowed a 50-yard run for Beckham Jr. on one end then Dak Prescott threw a pick near the goal-line— confirming the loss.

Now, the Browns hold a 3-1 record entering their upcoming matchup with the Colts. Meanwhile, the Cowboys hold an underwhelming 1-3 record, but remain very well in contention to win a division title as they play in the terrible NFC East.

With that being said, let’s take a look at four major takeaways from the Cleveland Browns vs. Dallas Cowboys matchup in Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season.
