The Vikings’ Secondary Is Going To Be Rough

Over the last few years, the Vikings have become accustomed to having a secondary capable of making big-time plays. Unfortunately, they lost Xavier Rhodes, Mackensie Alexander, and Trae Waynes in the offseason.

Losing all three of those guys left the Vikings with Mike Hughes Holton Hill, and Jeff Gladney as their top cornerbacks. It simply wasn’t an ideal situation heading into Week 1 against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. As previously mentioned, Rodgers put up massive numbers.

Moving forward, the Vikings have to figure something out in the secondary. Things are going to be rough as their young players learn the game and develop.

Thankfully, the Vikings have three great talents. Hughes, Gladney, and Hill all have the talent to become special players. If the Vikings want to contend this season though, they will need their development to accelerate.
