3. Bills Are Unlocking Josh Allen’s Potential
It has been an incredible start to the season for Josh Allen in what many considered as a potential breakout campaign for him. He’s gone above and beyond the expectations laid out for and the 319 total yards of offense and five combined touchdowns against the Rams are a great showcase of this.
The Bills have made it a point to use Allen’s mobility to their advantage — forcing linebackers and the secondary to have hesitation at times. He has made a lot of great reads when rolling out of the pocket and has accurately connected with his pass catchers in such situations.
So far this season, Allen has managed to produce over 300 passing yards in each of his three performances while racking up a total of 12 touchdowns. Perhaps most impressive of all has been his 71.1% completion rate — an increase of 12.3% compared to 2019.
The possibilities of what the Bills could achieve as a team this season are fascinating to think about if Allen can continue to execute at a high-level. He has been building chemistry with Stefon Diggs and the offense as a whole is firing on all cylinders.
