David Montgomery, Running Back, Chicago Bears
On the offensive side of the ball, the Bears have to figure out a way to get the running game going. Trubisky may have had a good game against the Lions, but they cannot rely on that each and every week. David Montgomery will be an X-Factor not just in this game, but for the rest of the season.
Montgomery ended up carrying the football 13 times for 64 yards against the Lions. Those numbers average out to a very solid 4.9 yards per carry.
Against the Giants, the Bears need to establish Montgomery early and not go away from him. If they can get a 100-yard performance on the ground, that should open the New York defense up. Trubisky could then get some easy looks and make a few plays through the air.
Matt Nagy and company need a more balanced offense moving forward. Montgomery has a ton of potential, but the Bears need to utilize him more consistently.
