Emmanuel Sanders, Wide Receiver, Saints

The Saints received some very disappointing news regarding superstar wide receiver Michael Thomas. His ankle injury from Week 1 is more serious than originally expected and he will miss at least a week or two.

With Thomas not on the field, the Saints will rely heavily on Emmanuel Sanders to be their top wideout. In his debut with New Orleans last week, Sanders caught three passes for 15 yards and a touchdown.

Obviously, the Saints will need a much bigger performance from Sanders this week against the Raiders. Las Vegas doesn’t have a great secondary, but they do have some young talent. Sanders should have a favorable matchup.

Alvin Kamara will be asked to handle a much larger role on the ground and through the air, but Sanders will be asked to handle a big role as well.
