3. Logan Thomas

Logan Thomas was a quarterback for Virginia Tech many years ago. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Now, he is a tight end in Washington and preparing to face his former team this week.

The tight end position is one that was a huge concern for Washington entering the season. Thomas finished with four catches for 37 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles in the opener.

Thomas looked like a reliable safety valve for Haskins. He made some big plays in this game including a wide-open touchdown grab to get Washington on the board and begin the comeback. Washington is weak in the passing game outside of Terry McLaurin. This means Thomas is going to have to step up.

Washington will need to score some points in this game to defeat the Cardinals. Thomas could be a matchup problem plus, he is going against his former team in this one.
