WHO DAT nation will be missed

With COVID-19 still very much being a thing, there will be no fans permitted at the Saints game on Sunday night. This causes a huge advantage for road teams who need to play in New Orleans this season. The same can be said about teams who need to face the Seahawks in Seattle, or the Chiefs in Kansas City, as the Chiefs, Seahawks, and Saints have some of the best fans on the entire planet.

The Saints always bring the juice and energy as they come to the game ready for a party all dressed screaming “WHO DAT” in the stands. But, this time around as we watch from a far we will only be hearing pumped in crowd noise that cannot exceed 70 decibels. This, of course, creates a huge advantage for the Packers, as they do not need to worry about silent counts or hand signals for audibles. Aaron Rodgers will be able to go to the line of scrimmage and call an audible as if he was at another practice.

Another key element to keep in mind is that when a game changing play happens, the crowd noise can really alter what happens after that. If the Saints were to make a huge play, they would feed off that energy and sometimes, that makes all the difference between a team making a play or not.

The loss of Who Dat nation did not hurt them in Week 1 against Tampa Bay as they were able to force some turnovers defensively. I do not see that happening this week on Sunday Night Football.
