The Packers have the highest scoring offense in the league
In an offseason where the Packers got a lot of heat after getting beat down by the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship, they have come out of the gate in 2020 scorching hot.
A lot of rumors about Rodgers’ time in Green Bay coming to an end were swirling around during the offseason and confirmed when the Packers traded up in the draft to select Jordan Love. But, all of that noise might have served as a motivator to the future Hall of Famer.
In Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings, the Packers lit up the scoreboard, putting up 43 points. Rodgers completed 32 out of 44 passes for 364 yards and four touchdowns. In Week 2 against the Detroit Lions, the Packers scored 42 points. Rodgers had another outstanding game, completing 18 of 30 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns.
Most importantly, they were able to put up big numbers when wideout Davante Adams left the game with a hamstring injury.
Adams has not practiced thus far this week and is questionable for this week’s game against the Saints. Whether or not he plays will not determine the outcome of this game.
Last week, the Packers found a nice rhythm in their offense by getting Aaron Jones going. Jones had 18 carries for 168 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught four balls for 68 yards and a touchdown. Marquez Valdes-Scantling has stepped as the number two wide receiver and seems to be gaining the trust of Aaron Rodgers.
The Saints are allowing an average of 28 points per game, 241.5 yards through the air, and 101 yards on the ground. Expect another big game from Aaron Jones.
