3. Le’Veon Bell Gets Held Below 60 Rushing Yards
Le’Veon Bell is back with the Jets in 2020. This was up in the air entering the offseason. He turned in two good, not great, games against the Bills in 2019. With all things considered, he is in for another lackluster performance. It begins with Gase and how the head coach will use him within the offense. The answer is unknown.
In Week 1 last season, Bell carried the ball 17 times for 60 yards and added a touchdown through the air. In the final game, he finished with 41 yards on 16 carries.
In both games, Bell logged 11 catches for 68 yards. Bell lacked that burst last season that made him so dominant in Pittsburgh. The Jets signed Frank Gore in the offseason and he could see some carries, but not enough to put Bell’s job in danger.
If the Jets fall behind, they will have to put the ball in the air a lot. Bell is a capable receiver and he can be used in that aspect but he will not be much of a factor in the run game.
