4. Chris Herndon Catches a Touchdown Pass
If there is one area where Jets’ fans are excited, it is tight end. Chris Herndon missed last season with an injury but is healthy entering 2020 and is expected to be a huge part of this offense.
As a rookie in 2018, Herndon played in all 16 games, making 12 starts. He finished with 39 catches for 502 yards and four touchdowns. Herndon averaged 12.9 yards per reception and was targeted 56 times within the offense.
The tight end position is one that has eluded the Jets recently. They have been unable to find a stable option and they are hoping that is what Herndon turns into when healthy.
In Week 1, Herndon will see the ball thrown his way quite a bit. He is a matchup problem, especially in the red zone. This could lead to a score in his first game back from injury.
