The 2020 NFL season is here after what seemed like an eternity. All offseason long there were questions about whether or not we would actually have a season. Both the Las Vegas Raiders and Carolina Panthers could not be more excited to get their first game in this week.

Both teams went through a busy offseason full of roster moves. For the Raiders, their headline moves were being able to bring in rookie wideout Henry Ruggs III and signing linebacker Cory Littleton. As for the Panthers, Teddy Bridgewater replaced Cam Newton and Robby Anderson was signed.

Gone are the days of Luke Kuechly being the face of the Panthers’ franchise. He chose early retirement this offseason. On the other side of things, Derek Carr is heading into a make-or-break season that could decide his future with the Raiders.

This Week 1 matchup is going to be very entertaining. Neither the Raiders or Panthers are expected to be serious contenders in their respective conferences. However, they are both out to prove that the league should take more notice of them.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at five bold predictions for the Raiders vs. Panthers matchup in Week 1.
