3. Todd Gurley Goes Under 50 Yards
The Todd Gurley experiment has had its ups and downs in the first two weeks of the NFL season. His first game he ran for four yards per carry and looked like he could be the answer to the Falcon’s rushing woes the last few years.
Gurley followed up that big performance with a game that saw him struggle in Dallas. Averaging 2.9 yards per carry on an increased workload was a big part of Atlanta stalling and losing to the Cowboys.
The downward trajectory of Gurley will continue in a week that the Falcons will rely on their proven commodities.
Needing a win and not being able to leave things up to chance, Gurley will get far less carries as the Falcons air it out. He may be a bigger part of the passing game, but he will have a down day rushing the football.
