The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defense Will Force Three Turnovers
This Tamp Bay Buccaneers defense is arguably the best in the NFL. Defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles, has been receiving a lot of praise as his defense has been balling. In their Week 6 matchup, they were facing a Green Bay Packer team that had the number 1 scoring offense in the league, averaging just above 38 points per game. They held them to just 10 points.
It is also important to note prior to that Week 6 game, Aaron Rodgers was in the MVP race with 13 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. The Tamp Bay Buccaneers forced him into two interceptions, one being a pick six that completely shifted the momentum of this game. Aaron Rodgers had his worst game of the season, as his team got absolutely demolished on the offensive end.
After holding a 10-0 lead, the Packers offense was completely stagnant. They could not run the ball nor could they throw as Rodgers had little to no time to complete a pass. The Buccaneers racked up 5 sacks in the win over the Packers, propelling them to having the 2nd most sacks in the NFL (22).
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bring a lot of pressure on the defensive side of the ball. They currently allow the least amount of yards in the league, averaging 282.0 yards per game. They have the 6th rank pass defense, currently allowing 217.7 yards per game through the air. The Bucs have the number 1 rush defense in the league, currently allowing 64.3 yards per game through the ground. Lastly, they have a top 10 scoring defense, currently allowing 20.3 points per game.
The Buccaneers will once again rely on their defense to create extra opportunities for their offense this week. I see them being successful in doing so. With the amount of pressure they bring, they will force 2 fumbles and have 1 interception.
