Teddy Bridgewater Will Look Like A Franchise Quarterback
Kyler Murray won’t be the only quarterback entering Week 4 with a chance at a big game. On the other side of the ball, Panthers’ quarterback Teddy Bridgewater could give Murray’s Cardinals a run for their money.
Bridgewater is coming off a Week 3 showing that not only led to the Panthers’ first win of the 2020 season, but marked one of the best games Bridgewater has had in recent memory. Carolina didn’t ask him to do too much, but the gameplan they gave him, he executed to perfection against a tough Chargers’ defense.
Completing 22 of his 28 passes for 235 yards, throwing for a touchdown, and compiling a 113.5 passer rating might have been the breakthrough Bridgewater needed to have an even bigger game on Sunday against a Cardinals defense without the same level of talent that Los Angeles has.
For as good as Arizona is on offense, Bridgewater and the Panthers might need to throw early and often to stay competitive. But with how he looked last week, Bridgewater may be able to handle the extra workload easily, and look like the Panthers’ permanent solution at quarterback along the way.
