2. Khalil Mack Racks Up Two Sacks And A Forced Fumble
Khalil Mack is the type of game-wrecking talent that can transcend a challenging matchup. While the Colts had the reputation of being an elite offensive line entering this season, they’ve actually played at an average level — allowing a 5.5% adjusted sack rate (14th).
So far this season, Mack has come up with 1.5 sacks and three QB hits. He has remained the focus of the opposition’s game-planning efforts — freeing up Akiem Hicks to record 3.5 sacks of his own.
Making Philip Rivers uncomfortable in the pocket will be an important goal for the Bears to accomplish to win this matchup. That starts with Mack managing to set the tone for Chicago’s pass rush.
Mack will end up recording two sacks and forcing a fumble at some point in this game. He will prove to be a disruptor to the Colts’ offense in key moments, but will it be enough to get the Bears a win?
