3. One Week Closer to Tua Time
Dolphins fans are already restless and calling for their fifth-overall pick to get on the field. Ryan Fitzpatrick was named the starter in the preseason because of the uncertainties with Tagovailoa’s injury. He has been practicing and looks like he is getting healthier every week.
To be fair, quarterback has not been the problem with the Dolphins. Their defense was torn apart by Josh Allen and the Bills on Sunday. Fitzpatrick did all he could to keep his team in the game going 31-47 for 328 yards and a touchdown.
Fitzpatrick is a gunslinger who will have some plays and is not afraid of the big moment. This is not saying that Fitzpatrick has been bad but when a team is not winning, fans want to see their young quarterback in the game.
When the Dolphins fell behind in their home opener, there was a chant from the 20% capacity crowd expressing their want for the Alabama product. As we enter Week 3, we are just one week closer to seeing Tua make his NFL debut.
