5. Gardner Minshew Will Throw 3+ Touchdowns

Gardner Minshew II had an incredible opening week against the Colts. While he didn’t make any big-time throws downfield, he had impeccable timing. It was the precision in which he threw the football that kept the Jaguars’ offense rolling by throwing just one incompletion in the entire game.

The Jaguars may need Minshew to stretch the field a bit more this week against the Titans, and he’ll be ready to deliver. He may not have a very strong arm, he has fantastic ball placement and accuracy. Minshew also has some quality young weapons at wide receiver.

With the absence of Adoree Jackson, look for Jaguars receiver DJ Chark to get a few balls thrown his way downfield. Minshew throws a very good deep ball. Last season, on throws downfield, Minshew II had a completion percentage of 49%, 16.7 yards per attempt, with a passer rating of 129.

While the Jaguars are not the flashiest team in the NFL, they have very sneaky weapons. Chark is a rising star in this league with incredible tracking ability. Laviska Shenault is a Swiss Army Knife type of offensive player that could really grow into a playmaker.

Meanwhile, Tyler Eifert was one of the league’s top tight ends only a few seasons ago. Minshew II will use these weapons and capitalize on Jackson’s injury throwing three touchdowns this week, a mark he met against the Colts in Week 1.
