Quinnen Williams will get two sacks
The Jets are in an interesting situation with their young defensive lineman Quinnen Williams. He has loads of potential and has shown flashes. While he’s been struggling with consistency, this season he already show signs of improvement.
Although Williams isn’t a dominant defensive lineman yet, he has all the tools to become one of the leagues top interior lineman. However, New York is open to moving him. Williams isn’t just playing to keep the Jets defense afloat, he is showing off his talents for other possible suitors.
The Dolphins offensive line has been much better than expected so far. However, their interior offensive line still has a few issues. Both Solomon Kindley and Erek Flowers are more known for their run blocking ability. They are solid blockers with good size in the power run game, but aren’t very agile. Williams is a very athletic interior lineman for his size and does a good job using his hands.
New York needs their young players to move from prospects to stars rather quickly. If Williams can make that jump it will make the Jets decision a bit clearer. Right now he isn’t valuable enough to yield any major draft picks, but he is too good to trade for any mid round picks. Williams is stuck in limbo right now. If he starts to dominate his competition, New York will either keep him and build the defense around him, or they’ll trade him for a future 1st round pick.
