Houston Texans
The AFC South is on the rise with the Tennessee Titans coming off an appearance in the AFC Championship Game and the Indianapolis Colts making various key additions. The Houston Texans need to do everything within reason to keep their top-ranked spot.
There is still a need for the Texans to improve beyond being an average at best offensive line. Trading for Laremy Tunsil was certainly a great start by Houston to build the foundation of this position group, but it’s clear they need more to take the next step.
There will be an added need for the Texans to have a strong offensive line, particularly one that can run block. No longer having an elite receiver in DeAndre Hopkins will require greater production from the running game to help overcompensate for that loss.
If the Texans decided they wanted to sign Larry Warford, they could create the necessary spending room by releasing Zach Fulton but it’s not required. He is set to earn $7 million during the upcoming season and all of that is non-guaranteed, which is precisely the asking price Warford is seeking.
