Cleveland Browns
The expectations were high for the Cleveland Browns heading into the 2019 season. They failed to play at the level many thought they were capable of and finished with a mere 6-10 record. A key factor in their shortcomings was offensive line play.
The Browns had already made a real effort to improve their offensive line earlier in the offseason by using the No. 10 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on former Alabama offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. Even before that, they signed Jack Conklin in free agency.
By managing to add Larry Warford into the mix, the Browns would have come away from the offseason making upgrades at three spots on the offensive line. That’s crucial for a team playing in the same division as the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.
There should be issues at all for the Browns when it comes to being able to sign Warford from a salary cap perspective. They currently rank second in the NFL in remaining cap space and would have more than enough to meet his asking price if needed.
