The Philadelphia Eagles were one of the best teams in the NFL during the 2022 season. Despite some major overhaul on the coaching staff and roster, they once again look talented enough to contend for a Super Bowl.

It could take a little while to get used to new coordinators, as Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon, last season’s offensive and defensive coordinators, both took heading coaching jobs. But, any shortcomings they have adjusting can easily be overcome by how much talent there is on this roster.

General manager Howie Roseman has done an excellent job of ensuring the roster is in a good spot despite the losses this offseason. He has done an excellent job of wheeling and dealing in the draft, finding value up and down the draft board.

There will be a few new faces in important roles in 2023, but the Eagles are still in a great position. What can we expect to see from the team? Here are five way-too-early bold predictions for Philadelphia this upcoming season.

5. D’Andre Swift Breaks Out

One of the shrewd moves that Roseman made this offseason was acquiring running back D’Andre Swift from the Detroit Lions during the 2023 NFL Draft. He will help the Eagles replace Miles Sanders, who left in free agency to sign with the Carolina Panthers.

Swift brings an added dimension to the team as he is an elite pass-catching running back. In each of his first three seasons in the NFL, he has caught at least 46 passes. Capable of handling early down work as well, Swift has the skill set to be a three-down workhorse.

The only thing that has held him back has been his health. He has missed multiple games in all three of his seasons and the Eagles will have to make sure to not overuse him. Philadelphia will assuredly use their depth, but Swift will break out.

He is going to set a career-high with at least 1,300 total yards, setting a career-high. He will finish the season with at least 50 receptions and score double-digit combined touchdowns, setting a career-high in that regard as well.
