Ravens Could Pursue Intriguing AFC Wide Receiver In 2024

The Baltimore Ravens always seem to be in need of wide receivers, so Bleacher Report’s NFL staff thinks they should invest in one this offseason. Their choice? Buffalo Bills receiver Gabe Davis.

B/R mentions that Odell Beckham Jr., Devin Duvernay and Nelson Agholor will all be free agents this coming offseason, so the Ravens will need to find some reinforcements.

Davis is also set to hit free agency this spring, and while he is not necessarily a No. 1 wide out, he remains a reliable option and has great size for the position at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds.

Through 13 games with the Bills this season, Davis has logged 39 catches for 595 yards and six touchdowns.

Davis, who played his collegiate football at the University of Central Florida, was selected by Buffalo in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He played in every game during his rookie campaign and was solid, catching 35 passes for 599 yards and seven scores. He posted very similar numbers the following year, once again appearing in every contest and snaring 35 balls for 549 yards while reaching the end zone seven times.

Davis then proceeded to enjoy the best season of his career last year, participating in 15 games and hauling in 48 receptions for 836 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Ravens’ aerial attack has not been great this year, as they rank 19th in the NFL in passing offense at just 215.4 passing yards per game. This is nothing new for Baltimore, as it placed 28th in that category last season.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson absolutely needs some more weapons, and bringing in a capable receiver like Davis would be a great start.

The Ravens are 10-3 this season and will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday. They will then battle the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers to close out the regular season.
