The Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns are scheduled to go head-to-head on Sunday in Week 4. It will be an AFC clash between a pair of 2-1 teams. Lamar Jackson, the Ravens star quarterback, has taken notice of Cleveland’s impressive start to the 2023 season. Jackson shared his thoughts on the Browns’ defense on Wednesday.

“Those guys are flying around, playing great defense,” Jackson said, via Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

With star running back Nick Chubb injured, the Browns will have to continue to rely on their defense. The Browns’ defensive unit has surrendered a combined total of just six points in their victories this season. They gave up 26 points to the Pittsburgh Steelers in their only loss so far. Defense has clearly been the key for this team.

Lamar Jackson and Baltimore also happen to be playing a quality brand of football. Jackson has recorded 608 yards and two touchdowns through the air up to this point in 2023. He has added 193 rushing yards to go along with two touchdowns on the ground.

The Ravens’ defense has endured some ups and downs. Baltimore started off the year strong by limiting the Houston Texans to only nine points, but they have allowed 22 or more points in each of the past two games. Still, it’s been a respectable effort overall.

If the Ravens defense steps up on Sunday and contains the Browns, Jackson and the offense will take care of the rest. Scoring points on Cleveland’s defense will prove to be a challenge but Baltimore should be able to figure something out. It is certainly destined to be a competitive game between two potential playoff contenders.

Kickoff for the Ravens and Browns Week 4 contest is scheduled for Sunday, October 1 at 1:00 PM EST in Cleveland, OH.
