Trubisky Stakes Claim As Bears’ Franchise QB

For as much slack as Trubisky gets from the media and the Bears fanbase, there’s no doubt that seeing him develop into the franchise quarterback they drafted him to be would make everyone in Chicago happy.

He has a shot to do that this season, and it’ll all start by beating out Foles for the starting job. Competition tends to bring the best out athletes, and it will undoubtedly show us what kind of player Trubisky really is.

If he steps up and plays lights out throughout camp and the preseason, we’ll know that Trubisky truly is the kind of competitor that can lead an NFL football team. If he folds under the pressure, well, then the Bears will be in search of another potential franchise quarterback next offseason.
