Bengals: 3 numbers for WR A.J. Green to target in 2020

David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

16 starts

The only thing that has interrupted Green’s chances of remaining as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL in recent years are injuries. Since suffering the unfortunate hamstring injury in 2016, Green has been unable to elude injuries for the Bengals.

Altogether, since the 2016 NFL season, the seven-time Pro Bowler has missed a total of 29 games due to injuries. Of course, 16 of those games came during last season when he was dealing with an ankle ailment.

Given his recent injury history, Green’s main focus should be to play in all 16 games for the first time in his career since 2017. In the event that Green remains healthy for the Bengals — starting in all 16 games — he could be in for a major comeback season in 2020.
