2. Figure Out RB Roles

This is one area where the Broncos do not want to add anyone. It is a position where they need to figure out roles. Denver added Melvin Gordon to the mix with Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman. So the question is, how will each player be used?

This does not seem like good news for Freeman, who will lose a significant amount of time with the addition of Gordon. Lindsay has been a 1,000 yard rusher in each of his first two seasons in the league.

Gordon has been one of the biggest names at the position since he entered the league. He held out at the beginning of the 2019 season and ended up playing 12 games.

Gordon will be listed as No. 1 on the depth chart but the Broncos will split carries between him and Lindsay. This could end up being one of the best duos in the league. It will be interesting to see how the Broncos’ offense runs with each of the backs on the field.
