1. Sign Veteran Backup QB

Drew Lock played five games in 2019 and completed 64.1% of his passes. He totaled 1,020 yards with seven touchdowns and just three interceptions. Denver feels good about their future with Lock under center but they do not have an option behind him.

It is always good to have a veteran quarterback to teach a younger player the ropes. Behind Lock on the depth chart is Jeff Driskel and Brett Rypien. There are still some viable options on the free agent market such as Josh McCown.

McCown has been all over the league and is going to be an incredible coach one day. If they choose to look for a trade, names like Josh Rosen have floated around the market.

Lock has just five games under his belt. He will have plenty of weapons at all skill positions to work with in 2020. This will help him take the next step but it is always good to be comfortable at the backup position.
