Mychal Kendricks
Back in 2018, Mychal Kendricks signed a one-year deal with the Browns following a semi-successful career with the Philadelphia Eagles. Nevertheless, Kendricks wouldn’t remain with Cleveland through training camp and was released by the team. He would then be picked up by the Seattle Seahawks, where he proved he could still play in the NFL.
While Kendricks couldn’t make the roster in 2018, that was a former coaching staff and front office that was in place for the Browns. Now, they could use the veteran linebacker to give them some reliability at linebacker.
Of course, signing Kendricks would be dependent on his current health status. Just a month ago, he was medically cleared after tearing his ACL in the final week of the 2019 season.
At 29 years old and coming off of a serious injury, most teams will avoid Kendricks. On the other hand, the Browns could use his athleticism — albeit it’s not the same as it once was — in their defense. Giving Kendricks another chance to make the team could be a wise move for Cleveland, barring he’s healthy enough to play.
