Buffalo Bills pass rusher Von Miller has yet to play in 2023 as he recovers from a torn ACL he suffered last year. However, it looks like he is about to make his season debut.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL media, Miller has made the trip with his team to London ahead of the Bills’ Week 5 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars and has a chance to play. Rapoport adds that Miller, who has spent the first four weeks of the season on the PUP list, experienced no issues in his first two practices back.
This would be a major addition to a Buffalo defense that already ranks sixth in the NFL sans Miller. Not only that, but the Bills have also racked up a league-best 16 sacks without his services.
Miller is in his second season with Buffalo after signing with the club as a free agent in March 2022. He played in 11 games last year before going down with the aforementioned knee injury, logging 21 tackles, eight sacks and a forced fumble.
The Texas A&M product was originally selected by the Denver Broncos with the second overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Miller spent the first nine-and-a-half seasons of his career with the Broncos and quickly established himself as one of the best defenders in football. He posted double-digit sack totals in seven of his first nine full seasons with the team, topping out at 18.5 sacks in his sophomore campaign.
The 34-year-old made eight trips to the Pro Bowl during his time in Denver and earned three First-Team All-Pro selections. He also keyed a dominant Broncos defense in a 2015-16 Super Bowl run.
Von Miller was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in November 2021 and went on to win another Super Bowl during his lone half-season with the Rams, totaling 31 tackles and five sacks in eight games there.
