2. Getting the ball out quicker against the Pass Rush

The UCLA product is plagued with the seventh-worst sack percentage at 9.2 percent. Some of the blame can be placed on the rookie quarterback for taking these sacks. However, it doesn’t help him that his offensive line is ranked as the worst according to Pro Football Focus.

They’ve allowed the second-most quarterback hits with 70 and have injuries across their offensive line. Center A.Q. Shipley and swing tackle John Wetzel are both done for the season. Adding onto this, starting guard Justin Pugh is on injured reserve and ends his season as well.

Mike Iupati is also dealing with a back injury, and it’s looking as though the team will need to look into playing a lot of their backups. And it’s not helping that this unit isn’t finding any success in the pass blocking game.

Rosen should look to audibling out of the eight in the box looks that come up to the line against him. Whether it be rushing the ball or looking into setting up a screen to keep the ball in the team’s hands.

He has a Pro Bowl talent in David Johnson at running back. He should utilize him as much as he can when faced with pressure in his face like that.
