Lead Tight Ends In Receiving Yards
It has become quite valuable for an offense to have a dynamic receiving threat at the tight end position. The Kansas City Chiefs are a perfect example of this with Travis Kelce.
Last season, Kelce’s total for receiving yardage (1,229) led all tight ends with Darren Waller being the closest behind. Even he trailed by 114 yards. In fact, there were only three tight ends to reach 1,000 receiving yards last season.
The total volume of receiving yards Kelce had was not just impressive for a tight end, but as a receiver, in general. He trailed only Michael Thomas (1,725), Julio Jones (1,394), and Chris Godwin (1,333) among all players.
It was be an impressive feat for Kelce to manage to lead all tight ends in total receiving yards for another season. It would show great durability and consistency to go along with a truly dynamic impact.
