Hue Jackson, Head Coach
The Cleveland Browns are giving Jackson one last try to right the ship. Gone are the bad apples and replaced with talent. What’s strange is that Jackson doesn’t really have to coach much. Look at Bill Belichick. How much coaching does he really have to do with Tom Brady on the field? In no way am I calling Taylor the same as Brady, but let’s be serious here. If the Browns offense is as good on the field as they are on paper, the players will have themselves in position to do just about anything they want. All Jackson has to do is not screw it up.
His job this season is to be a motivator. He has to make sure his players (those who were there) to put that 0-16 season behind them and focus on the present. If the Browns should start the season awfully, Jackson may be gone by Week 5. However, if they can manage at least 2-3 wins in their first five games, Jackson will be hailed as the next LeBron James in Cleveland.
There are no more excuses that the Browns nor Jackson can use. John Dorsey has provided the embattled coach with skilled players at almost every position. If Jackson can survive this season then he will have a ton of money to spend in the offseason for more improvements. Jackson is sitting pretty right now.
The Cleveland Browns are the talk of the NFL heading into Week 1 and all Jackson has to do is keep them motivated.
