Colts’ Jonathan Taylor Posts Cryptic Message On Instagram

The Indianapolis Colts are set to begin preseason play, but they have one major question mark that stands out among the rest. Jonathan Taylor has been rumored to be wanting a trade out of Indianapolis. It hasn’t been revealed whether or not the Colts are open to moving him, but at this point it seems unlikely.

While the Colts would like to keep Taylor on their roster, the two sides have gone cold towards each other. Taylor has opted to “rehab his ankle” away from training camp and has not joined the team. That could be a tactic to force a trade, but Jim Irsay is known for being a stubborn owner himself.

Amid all of the trade rumors, Taylor took to his Instagram account to share a very cryptic message.

More than likely, this is nothing to take note of at this point in time. That being said, no one truly knows what the future holds between these two sides.

Last season with the Colts, Taylor struggled to stay on the field. He dealt with nagging injuries all season long. When he did play, his production was down quite a bit from what it had been the year before.

He ended up carrying the football 192 times for 861 yards and four touchdowns last season. Taylor also racked up 28 receptions for 143 yards and no touchdowns. Those numbers simply were not up to par for what fans have become used to from Taylor.

Hopefully, the Colts and Taylor can work things out and remain together. Indianapolis needs to have Taylor on the field to help out rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson. If they can’t work things out, it will be a sad day wondering what could be over the next few years as the offense grows together.

Expect to hear more about the Jonathan Taylor situation in the near future. The Colts have a tough decision to make and we’ll just have to wait and see what it is.
