The Buffalo Bills traded wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans last week, and there appears to be some bad blood between Diggs and the fans.

On Tuesday, Diggs liked a tweet calling Bills fans “bitter.”

This came not long after Diggs penned a seemingly heartfelt goodbye to Buffalo fans on Instagram after spending four years with the club.

Of course, right now, emotions are running high, and social media always tends to bring out the worst in everyone. Hopefully, Diggs is able to smooth things over with Bills Mafia.

But one thing is for sure: Diggs appears to have had a nasty exit from Buffalo.

The Bills traded Diggs even though it resulted in them absorbing a $31 million cap hit, which tells you how bad the situation between the two sides had gotten.

Either Diggs demanded to be dealt, or Buffalo grew tired of his antics.

Or maybe it was a combination of both.

Diggs was initially acquired by the Bills in a blockbuster trade with the Minnesota Vikings back in March 2020. He went on to make the Pro Bowl in each of his four seasons in Buffalo, also earning a First-Team All-Pro selection in his debut campaign after leading the NFL in receptions and receiving yards.

This past year, Diggs caught 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns, although his production was heavily frontloaded. He logged five 100-yard performances over his first six games and then did not register a single 100-yard outing the rest of the way.

Now, Diggs will join a Texans receiving corps that already includes Nico Collins and Tank Dell, giving Houston arguably the best group of wide outs in football.

We’ll see if Stefon Diggs can make the Bills a distant memory in 2024.
