Vikings’ Justin Jefferson Doesn’t Hold Back On Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson played with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase in college, and now, he seems envious that Chase gets to catch passes from Burrow with the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I love them together, I love the chemistry that they have, but it’s definitely some jealousy on that side,” Jefferson told Kevin Hart (via JPA Football).

Jefferson is probably especially jealous now that he does not even know who his quarterback is going to be heading into 2024.

For the first four seasons of his career, Jefferson had a connection with Kirk Cousins, but Cousins left the Vikings for the Atlanta Falcons in free agency last month.

Minnesota owns the 11th and 23rd picks of the NFL Draft and is expected to either take a quarterback a No. 11 or trade up for one, but the uncertainty definitely has to bother Jefferson.

Jefferson is preparing to enter the final year of his deal without a new contract. He is expected to become the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, but the Vikings have been dragging their feet in terms of signing him to an extension.

Whether or not the 24-year-old would even want to re-up with Minnesota long term at this stage is debatable.

The Vikings hardly resemble Super Bowl contenders going into next season, and now that Jefferson’s rookie deal is about to expire, you would think he may start really prioritizing winning.

Or maybe he just wants to get paid from the team that drafted him.

Whatever the case may be, Justin Jefferson would surely like to be in Chase’s position. Just think: the two of them were actually LSU’s top two receivers with Burrow under center a few years ago.

Talk about a loaded roster.
