The Dallas Cowboys are adding another familiar face to their roster as they continue their reunion trend following this weekend’s NFL Draft.

According to a report by ESPN’s Todd Archer, the Cowboys are bringing back linebacker Wilson, who was originally drafted by the team in the fourth round back in 2015.

“The Cowboys have agreed to terms with veteran LB Damien Wilson, who ended last year on the active roster but did not play in a game, per a source. More depth at the position.”

After playing out his rookie contract with the Cowboys, Wilson had stints with the Super Bowl-winning Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Carolina Panthers.

Despite being away from the regular season since the 2022 season after being released by the Panthers, the 30-year-old linebacker brings experience and skill to the Cowboys’ defense. However, Wilson faced a setback last October when he received a four-game suspension from the NFL for violating the league’s Personal Conduct Policy due to an altercation with his ex-girlfriend.

Throughout his career, Wilson has showcased his abilities with 73 career starts, primarily with the Chiefs and Jaguars. He has been known for his solid presence in the middle of the defense.

In his most recent season in 2021 with the Jaguars, Wilson demonstrated his capabilities by tallying 106 tackles, three sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery.

In addition to Wilson, the Dallas Cowboys also secured the return of longtime running back Ezekiel Elliott with a one-year deal signed on Monday.
