1. Zach Ertz Goes for 100 Catches, Again
On the Eagles’ all-time single-season reception list, Ertz takes up two of the top three spots. In 2018, Ertz set the single-season record for catches by a tight end with 116. This also landed him at the top of the Eagles’ list. Last season, he finished with 88 catches, the third most all-time in Eagles’ history.
In 2020, let’s say Ertz goes for triple-digits once again. He has been the best player in the Eagles’ offense for many years now. He joined the team in 2013 and has had 70 or more catches in each of the last five years.
Ertz has missed just six games during that time. Wentz likes to find his tight ends at all levels on the field. Ertz has acted as a security blanket because it seems as though he is always open.
When looking at his numbers, it is hard to say Ertz is not a top three tight end, along with Travis Kelce and George Kittle. He is one of the most important pieces of the Eagles’ offense. If this team wants to go anywhere in 2020, Ertz will have to be a massive contributor.
