The Philadelphia Eagles had entered their Week 15 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks reeling a little bit. They have lost two games in a row and haven’t looked particularly strong in any facet of the game.

On Monday Night Football, they had a few bright spots, but once again the team fell short when it mattered most. The Eagles lost the game 20-17, failing to hold a late lead as Drew Lock went on a 92-yard drive at the end of the fourth quarter to lead the Seahawks to victory.

It was a huge win for Seattle, who saw their playoff hopes jump high. For Philadelphia, it was yet another disappointing performance as the wheels are falling off at the worst possible time. Losers in three straight games, something is no longer clicking for the franchise.

What could be missing? In his post-game press conference, quarterback Jalen Hurts believes that it is a commitment from his teammates that is currently absent. In his opinion, they aren’t as committed as they need to be.

NFL News & Rumors: Jalen Hurts, Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles Updates

That is certainly a shocking answer, one that will assuredly ruffle some feathers. This could be an attempt to light a fire under his teammates, but some of them will assuredly take this as an unnecessary shot from a quarterback who hasn’t been playing well in recent weeks.

Hurts has thrown for 200 or fewer yards in four out of his last five games with four interceptions and four fumbles. His interception against the Seahawks on Monday night was a game-ending one, as he forced a deep pass to A.J. Brown down the sidelines late in the fourth quarter despite the team having two timeouts and only needing about 15 yards to give Jake Elliott a chance to tie the game with a field goal.

The schedule for the last few weeks has been brutal for the Eagles. They played the Dallas Cowboys twice, the San Francisco 49ers, the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs before visiting Seattle. But, things will get easier to finish the season.

Philadelphia’s last three games are against teams out of contention with two matchups against the New York Giants and one against the Arizona Cardinals. Those games should present get-right spots for the Eagles, but based on how they have played recently, a motivated underdog could certainly upset them.
