Sterling Shepard 2020 Fantasy Outlook

The Giants have plenty of mouths to feed in the passing game. Shepard is joined by Golden Tate (85 targets last year) and Darius Slayton (84 targets) at wide receiver, and tight end Evan Engram is heavily involved when he is healthy (68 targets in eight games last year).

And of course don’t forget about Saquon Barkley (73 targets last year), who some think as a path to being the overall RB1 in fantasy this year. In an interesting anecdote, the aforementioned guys did not play a game all together last year.

Here’s how the ADPs of the Giants’ wide receivers look in full PPR right now (via Fantasy Football Calculator, 12 teams).

Slayton: WR45 (pick 10.05)
Shepard: WR46 (pick 10.06)
Tate: WR56 (pick 13.02)

Slayton had a lot of boom or bust to him last year, and while Tate remains good he’s also 32 years old. Quite simply, when Shepard was on the field last year he was consistently targeted.

With a tilt toward PPR formats, Shepard is a potential WR2 in low-end WR4 draft clothes with a double-digit round ADP.

Sterling Shepard 2020 Projection: 75 receptions for 788 yards, 6 TD
