Terry McLaurin
2020 projections: 80 receptions, 1,160 receiving yards, seven receiving touchdowns
Some would argue that Terry McLaurin was the best rookie wide receiver from the 2019 NFL Draft class and there’s definitely a case to be made for him. Out of all of the second-year wide receivers in this article, McLaurin definitely had the most volatile situation at quarterback.
Despite having three different quarterbacks targeting him last season, McLaurin still managed to notch 58 receptions for 919 yards and seven touchdowns. It was evident that McLaurin was beginning to build a decent rapport with fellow rookie and Ohio State teammate Dwayne Haskins in the latter part of the season.
The 6-foot wide receiver would lead the NFL in contested catch percentage, corralling 68.4 percent of his contested catches. After finishing the 2019 season as the second highest-scoring rookie wide receiver in fantasy football, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if McLaurin leads the charge for second-year wide receivers in 2020.
