WRs to start in Week 10

Rams’ Robert Woods/Cooper Kupp (vs. Seahawks): Teams have had no issues passing the ball on the Seahawks and we already have Goff as a feasible starter this week. If Goff is going to have a productive showing, it will be because of his WRs in Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp. It’s evident that teams are targeting WRs against the Seahawks and having loads of success. As a matter of fact, teams are targeting WRs versus Seattle on 68 percent of their attempts and a success rate of 61 percent when targeting WRs (both are most in the NFL). Plus, the Seahawks have conceded 59.5 fantasy points per week (most in the league) and are the only team that has allowed over 2,000 yards to WRs so far this season. Both Woods and Kupp are spectacular options in fantasy football in Week 10.

Texans’ Brandin Cooks (vs. Browns): Even though the Texans haven’t had the season they envisioned of having, Deshaun Watson and the aerial attack are rolling. Besides Will Fuller, Watson is beginning to build a formidable rapport with Brandin Cooks in recent weeks. Altogether, in his last four games, Cooks has accumulated 82.2 fantasy points. There’s no reason to believe he’ll slow down against a Browns defense that is allowing 283.8 receiving yards (eighth-most in the NFL) per game and the seventh-most total receiving touchdowns with 17.

Bengals’ Tyler Boyd (vs. Steelers): Just by looking at the defense of the Steelers, most people are wary of starting anyone against them. However, while they excel at getting after the QB, they are susceptible to allowing big plays through the air. For the Bengals to have a chance to upset the Steelers this week, they’ll need Joe Burrow to throw often. That bodes well for Tyler Boyd, who has emerged as Burrow’s favorite pass-catching option. Despite Pittsburgh having a talented pass defense, they’ve surrendered 12 touchdowns (tied for fifth-most in the league) and 39.64 fantasy points per week (12th most in the NFL) to WRs.

Other WRs to consider in Week 10: Browns’ Jarvis Landry (vs. Texans), Colts’ Michael Pittman Jr. (vs. Titans), Bears’ Darnell Mooney (vs. Vikings), Packers’ Allen Lazard (vs. Jaguars if active)

WRs to sit in Week 10

Lions’ Marvin Jones (vs. Washington): Amid the struggles of Washington’s offense, their defense is playing lights out under Ron Rivera. Along with the defensive front littered with first-round selections, the secondary is getting vastly overlooked thus far. Kendall Fuller has been one of the best CBs in the NFL this season and Washington’s defense has limited WRs to league-bests in touchdowns (3) and fantasy points per game (25.81). Despite Marvin Jones being the No. 1 wideout for the Detroit Lions sans Golladay, he is going to have a tough time having success in the passing game in Week 10.

Vikings’ Justin Jefferson (vs. Bears): As mentioned above, the Vikings would love to keep the ball out of Cousins’ hands when possible. Nevertheless, Justin Jefferson still leads all rookie WRs in receiving yards with 627 in eight games. Without a doubt, Jefferson is a star-in-the-making at the WR position. But with him having Cousins as his QB and Minnesota’s offense being run-oriented with Cook, Jefferson is a matchup-based play in fantasy football. And this week, the rookie first-round pick faces a daunting Bears defense that is holding opposing WRs to 27.57 fantasy points (second-fewest in the NFL) and three touchdowns (tied for fewest in the NFL).
