Fantasy Football: Position-by-Position Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Picks for Week 10

RBs to start in Week 10

Jaguars’ James Robinson (vs. Packers): While the Jacksonville Jaguars are on the downturn as an organization, James Robinson has been a bright spot for them. The undrafted rookie is on pace to record 1,610 yards from scrimmage this season, which would set the single-season record for an undrafted RB. He’s become an RB1 this season in fantasy football and will likely be on some championship rosters. He’s a must-start option this week as he looks to gash the defense of the Green Bay Packers, who have allowed 33.74 fantasy points (second-most in the league) and 11 rushing touchdowns (tied for sixth-most in the NFL) to the RB position.

Browns’ Kareem Hunt (vs. Texans): Some people may be wondering what to do with Kareem Hunt upon the return of Nick Chubb. Seeing that the Cleveland Browns are facing the Houston Texans, why not start both of them this week? Hunt and Chubb have already shown they can both coexist in fantasy football this season. In the four games that both of them lined up together, Hunt averaged 17.4 fantasy points. He also gets an opportunity to run against a Texans defense that is allowing a league-high 1,159 rushing yards and 30.34 fantasy points per week (third-most in the NFL) to RBs.

Steelers’ James Conner (vs. Bengals): At this time a week ago, James Conner looked to be in a smash spot versus a weak Dallas Cowboys defense. However, come time on Sunday, Conner finished with a disappointing four fantasy points against the Cowboys. With that being said, the Pittsburgh Steelers found themselves in an early hole, thus limiting Conner’s usage on the ground. Following his quiet performance in Week 9, Conner should see more touches — especially with Ben Roethlisberger being hurt and spending time on the COVID-19 reserve list — against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati’s defense has surrendered a league-worst 5.2 yards per attempt and 144.3 rushing yards (fourth-most in the NFL) to RBs.

Other RBs to consider in Week 10: Ravens’ J.K. Dobbins (vs. Patriots), Washington’s Antonio Gibson (vs. Lions), Eagles’ Miles Sanders (vs. Giants if active), Eagles’ Boston Scott (vs. Giants if Sanders is out)

RBs to sit in Week 10

49ers’ Jamycal Hasty (vs. Saints): I’m already old enough to remember when Jamycal Hasty looked to be the next RB that could thrive in Kyle Shanahan’s offense. On the contrary, Hasty has turned 16 carries into only 32 rushing yards in the past two weeks for the San Francisco 49ers. Of course, there’s always the chance he breaks out in Week 10 despite facing a tough matchup in the New Orleans Saints. But there’s also the chance he busts versus the Saints, who have given up 3.5 yards per attempt (third-fewest in the NFL) and five rushing touchdowns (tied for fewest in the league) this season.

Bengals’ Joe Mixon/Giovani Bernard (vs. Steelers): Similar to Ezekiel Elliott in Week 9, Joe Mixon could find himself as a top-notch RB in a rough matchup with the Steelers. Elliott finished with 8.9 fantasy points on Sunday against Pittsburgh’s stout run defense. While Mixon may be someone you’re forced to start in certain leagues. However, you should probably temper expectations for him if he’s able to make his return from injury in Week 10. Even if Mixon sits, starting Giovani Bernard in fantasy football is a risky choice. Pittsburgh’s defense has allowed only 17.7 fantasy points per week, which is the least in the entire NFL.
