TEs to Start in Week 3
49ers’ George Kittle (vs. Chiefs): As you can see, I like a lot of 49ers and Chiefs players this week, George Kittle is no exception. With TEs being a hard position to judge, Kittle could be a solid option. In an offense lacking weapons, he could see himself as a key player San Francisco. He faces a Chiefs defense who is allowing the third most points to TEs.
Buccaneers’ O.J Howard (vs. Steelers): O.J Howard seems to slowly take the starting TE job for the Buccaneers. It was unknown whether it would be Cameron Brate or Howard as the featured TE this season. As of now, it looks like Howard has etched his spot in stone, with Brate yet to get his first reception this year.
I like Howard against a Steelers defense who allows the fifth most points to TEs.
Vikings’ Kyle Rudolph (vs. Bills): I think most people have quickly forgotten about Kyle Rudolph on the Vikings. Rudolph is a very talented offense, with Kirk Cousins at the helm. This week, Rudolph should see plenty of chances to score against a sad Bills defense that has allowed the ninth most points to TEs so far this season.
TEs to Sit in Week 3
Jaguars’ Austin Seferian-Jenkins (vs. Titans): Austin Seferian-Jenkins could be a nice weapon for the Jaguars, but he is inconsistent. It’s hard to put trust in a guy who’s been inconsistent his whole career and a guy who plays with quarterback Blake Bortles.
You never know what Bortles you are getting.
Titans are actually stingy against TEs, allowing the second least amount of points to them this year.
Browns’ David Njoku (vs. Jets): With the departure of Josh Gordon, we could see more targets for Njoku as the season rolls on. This week likely be another disappointing week for Njoku. The Jets have an underrated secondary with safety Jamal Adams leading the way. The Jets have allowed the fifth least amount of points to TEs so far.
