What To Expect From Daniel Jones In Week 1
Gone are the days of the Steelers being an elite defense. They have some talent, but they are not one of the more feared defenses in the league. Assuming Jones takes care of the football and the line can keep him upright, he should have a good game.
Jones has the mental capacity to be a very good NFL quarterback. It’s too soon to call him a potential superstar, but he has some skills that could take him to that level.
Here are three bold predictions for him in Week 1 against the Steelers.
3. At Least 325 Yards And Three Touchdowns
From a statistical standpoint, the Giants are going to love what they see from Jones. He will carve the Steelers’ secondary up to the tune of 325 passing yards and three touchdowns. New York has some quality weapons for him and the season will get off to a great start.
2. Zero Turnovers
Perhaps the most important thing for Jones this season will be figuring out how to take care of the football. In Week 1, he will show development in that area. Jones will not throw a single interception and he won’t fumble either.
1. Daniel Jones Leads The Giants To A Game-Winning Drive
Finally, this game is going to come down to the wire. The Giants may not be a serious playoff contender, but they should be a much better team in 2020 than they were in 2019. Jones will end up leading his team on a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter to move to 1-0 on the young season.
