Darius Leonard, Linebacker
One of the most obvious bright spots for the Colts was on the defensive side of the football. Darius Leonard may be a rookie, but he played like a star in Week 1.
Leonard ended the game with nine total tackles, six of those being unassisted. He showed off range on the field, speed, athleticism, and a lot of passion. That is exactly the kind of leadership that Matt Eberflus needs from his young linebacker moving forward this season.
If Leonard can continue playing at the level that he showed against the Bengals, things are looking very bright for the middle of the Colts’ defense.
